As regards the verification of learning, students will be able to present group work (max. 5 persons) that will be based on the application of the main theories of pragmatics and ethnopragmatics to authentic data and on the presentation and discussion of the results of the research work.
If required, students will be able to discuss the program in the traditional manner, i.e. with an oral questions on the scheduled texts are discussed.
The learning assessment may also be conducted at a distance, should the conditions require it.
With reference to the determinations voted unanimously in item 2 of the Departmental Council meeting of 6 May 2020, the knowledge and skills required to pass the intercultural pragmatics exam are set out below:
knowledge of the difference between semantics and pragmatics;
theoretical discussion of implicit/explicit, implicatures, maxims
theory of linguistic acts;
cognitive pragmatics and linguistics;
inferential model and code model;
neo-Griceans and post-Griceans;
relevance theory;
hate speech;
performativity;
ad hoc concepts;
reading intentions.
