Learning Objectives

Basic knowledge of the Byzantine civilization, its fundamental characteristics and evolution from the IV to the XV century.



Detailed Course Content

The essential features of the Byzantine civilization and main stages of social evolution and cultural development will be outlined by reading selected excerpts from Byzantine authors.
