Learning Objectives

The aim of this course is to give students a synthetic knowledge of Italian literature in the in XIX and XX Centuries. It includes some in-depth readings on representative topics, such as modes and forms of Italian Poetry in XX Century, excerpts from novels and/or short-stories. Short critical essays, and short workshops will supply students with tools in order to perform critical text analysis.



Detailed Course Content

Main tendencies of Italian Literature in XX Century, and his cultural roots in XIX Century; connections with European Cultures; Texts of Italian Poetry in XIX, XX and XXI Century; texts of Italian prose in XIX and XX Century; short essays and workshops.
