Learning Objectives

Acquire a critical approach to economic science through knowledge of the evolution of economic thought in order to grasp the complexity of the interrelationships between economic systems, forms of production and social-political organizations.



Detailed Course Content

Profile of the economic and social problems has been caused by the processes of modernization, industrialization and globalization with particular attention to the following issues:

The construction of the classical theory, Adam Smith;

The developments of classical economics, Malthus, Sismondi, Ricardo;

The role of the state in advanced economies;

The marginalist revolution;

The economic theories of the 900; Keynes and subsequent developments.
