The aim of the course is to provide the main theories linked to developmental psychology and focused on the processes connected to the development of the individual from birth to infancy. At the end of the present course students will be able to know the specific terminology and the contents of developmental psychology, to apply them in professional job, to collaborate to the application of programs and activities useful to the wellbeing of childhood. In detail, development of perception, memory, cognition, meta-cognition, personality, language, and gender stereotypes in developmental age will be analyzed.
The aim of the course is to provide tools to understand the complex processes related to the development of the subject from adolescence to old age. After completing the course students will be able to apply psychological knowledge in their professional activity, cooperate in the implementation of programs and activities for the welfare of the individual in the life span.
