Learning Objectives

-Acquiring/consolidating grammar and vocabulary, with particular attention to medical terms in use

-Acquiring/consolidating the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing)

-Providing a lexical basis for technical language.

The students will acquire a level of linguistic competence which allows them :

to interact effectively in professional multilingual and multicultural contexts,
to participate in seminars, workshops and international conferences
to join Erasmus programme

At the end of the course students are expected to be able to:

- read and comprehend the meaning of simple texts; - Translate from English a simple scientific text; - understand technical instructions in order to use sanitary devices and materials; - communicate in English in both general situations and health care setting; - Know the technical-scientific terminology concerning the profession

The level of competence expected by the end of the course is A2/B1 of CEFR.
