Learning Objectives

The course provides the knowledge necessary for the territory surveying and for the management of the acquired information. It also provides the knowledge necessary for the interpretation of the cartographic information related to the geodetic datum and the scale ratio of the representation..


Course Structure

Teaching is provided through lectures and practical exercises with the use of topographic software and tools.



Detailed Course Content

Elements of Geodesy and Cartography. Tools and methods for topographic surveying. Geometric principles of aerial photogrammetry. Digital cartography. Orthophoto, DTM, DEM, TIN. Structure, functionality and application of Geographic Information Systems. Free and open source QGIS technologies.
