They will start to develop a critical reading approach to the literary texts in order to better understand them and place them in the right historical-cultural frame. Moreover they will understand how to recognize and analyse literary themes and motifs of the main literary movements of the period.
The course will provide an overview of the main themes and motifs of the German and Austrian culture of the end of the 19th century and the early 20th century.
