MUSIC DRAMATURGY

The course aims to give methodological tools for an appropriate knowledge on Musical Dramaturgy and to set the events of Musical Theater in the European History of Arts and Culture.

Frontal lessons.

The first part of the course will be devoted to the principles of the discipline and to the History of the 19th Century Musical Theatre.

The second part will be dedicated to the comparison between Verdi and Wagner and their different dramaturgical approach.
