The Course is aimed at teaching of surgicals disases. Educational objectives are deepen cultural topics of general surgery.
The acquisition by the student of the basic notions relating to epidemiology, etiopathogenesis, pathological anatomy, diagnosis, staging and therapy of the main tumors of the various organs and systems of interest to the general surgeon. The integration of the notions of diagnostic and clinical cancer will take place with particular attention to the multidisciplinary nature of the diagnostic-therapeutic approach, in the light of the most recent scientific findings.
Frontal lessons
The teaching is given with frontal teaching lessons, with the use of clinical cases and surgical films related to oncological surgery.
Session I : Surgical Infection - Surgical physiopatology
Session II : Benign and malignant diseases of Esophagus, of stomach, of duodenum, of ileum and of colon-rectum.
Abdominal defects, Incisional hernia
Session III : Benign and malignat diseases of liver, biliary tract, pancreas
Tyroid and paratyroid
Bariatric surgery
The course deals with tumor pathologies, deepening the aspects of epidemiology, pathogenesis, pathophysiology, pathological anatomy, TNM classification and staging, semiotic and clinical, diagnostic imaging, therapy and prognosis of organs and systems of interest to the general surgeon with a multidisciplinary approach.
