The course focuses on the consideration, in the light of the apparatus of historiography of the last thirty years, of the data provided by the sources in the process of inclusion of the history of the evidence and legal institutions antique and late antique as part of the political, social and religious events.
Reading and analysis of the Roman-Christian legal sources in the Codex Theodosianus and in the Corpus Juris Civilis in relation at the ecclesiastical institutions; moreover, the course includes reading and analysis of a selection of literary and legal sources focusing on the theme of emotions.
