Learning Objectives

The course is designed to provide students with fundamental knowledge concerning:

1) dynamics of social and psychologicla groups;

2) issues related to the use of psychosocial research' basic tools;

3) social and scientific relevance of Action Research.



Detailed Course Content

Groups in the sense macro and micro: epistemological problems and application outcomes. Characteristics and significance of sociological micro-group. The small psychological-group: the becoming, quality of leadership and its usefulness in educational contexts and in the management / construction of human resources.The dynamics of small psychological groups and its usefulness to the creativity and social building of intelligence: the socio-cognitive conflict. The small group in the training activity: "Know How to Be/ Know How to do". The basic tools of Action Research. Intergroup conflict and strategies oriented to prejiudice’s reduction. Groups and dynamics of Self development.
