Learning Objectives

This course aims at consolidating the acquisition of structures and skills at the C1 level of CEFRL. It is also meant to provide the students with effective tools for linguistic analysis and an awareness of competent language usage. Attention will also be focused on translation theory and practice.



Detailed Course Content

Crucial questions will be raised:

-What is the relationship between language and social identity? How do we use language to construct "self" and "other"?

-What is or is not mutable about language?

-Do individuals have language rights? Who claims authority to make these decisions?
