Expected Learning Outcomes

The course aims to trace some essential lines of the history of education and pedagogy with specific reference to the twentieth century and the first decades of the twenty-first century. In particular, the theme of intercultural education and digitization will be explored through the reading of anthological texts and seminars. The course aims to guarantee students historical pedagogical knowledge and skills to understand and “governare” the educational transformations of contemporary society.

Detailed Course Content

After a presentation of the history of 20th century pedagogy, we will move on to the reading of essays focused on intercultural pedagogy and on the theme of digitization in contemporary society
