Module NEUROPSICOFARMACOLOGIA
Teacher: GIUSEPPINA CANTARELLA
Expected Learning Outcomes
At the end of the module, the student will be able to know the correct use of the active components of drugs in compliance with their therapeutic indications and routes of administration; recognize side effects of the most significant drugs used in medical practice and of the main classes of drugs used in the neurological and psychiatric fields and subject to restrictions of use.
Course Structure
Frontal lessons with PPT projections
Required Prerequisites
Knowledge of the physiology and pathophysiology of the main organs and systems.
Detailed Course Content
The NEUROPSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY course provides the student with a preparation on the general principles of pharmacology and on the phases of pharmacokinetics, including the routes of administration, the mechanisms of absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination of the drug; on the most significant drug classes used for the most common diseases of the central nervous system which are closely related to Physiotherapy
