9795522 - TRASPORTI MARITTIMI E LOGISTICA INTEGRATA
Teacher: MICHELA LE PIRA
Expected Learning Outcomes
The course aims at providing knowledge related to maritime transport, port conception and management, organization of maritime transport, intermodal transport, development of integrated logistics management processes, case studies and examples. At the end of the course, also thanks to a series of targeted exercises, students will acquire the basic elements for the drafting of port system regulatory plans and the sustainable management of ports (energy considerations, e.g. cold ironing, regasifiers) and they will acquire skills related to the interactions between port activities and the contexts in which they are inserted (port-city relationship) and the role of retroport and interport infrastructures in the context of integrated and last mile logistics.
Course Structure
The course includes:
- frontal lessons
- guided exercise(s)
- guided tours
The acquisition of skills will be verified by means of an oral test which will cover both the theoretical topics and the assigned exercises.
Required Prerequisites
A knowledge of Fundamentals of Transport is desirable
Attendance of Lessons
Attendance is strongly recommended as it is consistent with the proposed teaching model which aims to encourage gradual learning, the active participation of the student in the classroom, and dialogue between teachers and students.
