Module STORIA DELL'AMBIENTE

Teacher: ERMANNO TAVIANI

Expected Learning Outcomes

The aim of the course is to understand the history of the environment and the relationship between man and the environment. At the center will be the transition from the "ancient biological regime" to the Anthropocene. The analysis plan is that of a global history, within the framework of the economic, political and cultural processes that have marked the twentieth century. The different types of pollution during the '900 and the policies put in place (or not implemented) to cope with them are analyzed. Particular attention will be paid to environmental movements.

The workshop will focus the relationship between cinema and environmental emergency, with particular attention to dystopian cinema from the birth of cinematography to today.
