Objectives: Knowledge of the vital functions of animals and humans. Analysis of strategies adopted by living organisms for the realization and maintenance of homeostasis of their internal medium. Knowledge of Cellular membrane, permeability and transport, cellular communication, perception and reflex activity, muscles and movement, organs.

The course of physiology is held through frontal teaching. 

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.

It is useful to have basic knowledge regarding the anatomy of organs and systems, the histology of tissues, the laws of physics, the fundamental concepts of general and organic chemistry, the biochemistry of proteins and other cellular components, genetics, biology molecular.

Cellular membrane, permeability and transport, cellular communication, perception and reflex activity, muscles and movement, all organs in the organism.

We recommend using the English version of texts as Silverthorn Dee.- Human Physiology: an integrated Approach, Pearson Edducation, Inc,2016 or other English text.

The exams are carried out through an oral interwiew on topic included in the program and explained in class.

Verification of learning can also be carried out electronically, should the conditions require it.
