The course aims to provide the basic notions of human nutrition, with specific reference to the main characteristics of foods, the nutritional principles and their digestion, absorption and metabolism. In consideration of the professional activity of the herbalist, the issues related to dietary supplements, nutraceuticals and herbal products will also be addressed.
Frontal lessons or remote lessons should the conditions require it. Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.
