SCIENZE BIOMEDICHE E BIOTECNOLOGICHESciences and techniques of preventive and adaptative motor activitiesAcademic Year 2022/2023

1002642 - MEDICINA INTERNA E FARMACOLOGIA
Module 1002643 - FARMACOLOGIA

Teacher: GIUSEPPINA CANTARELLA

Expected Learning Outcomes

The PHARMACOLOGY course provides student with a preparation upon  general principles of pharmacology such as pharmacokinetics, including the routes of administration, the mechanisms of absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination of the drug, as well as pharmacodinamic. The student will study the most significant drug classes used for cardiac, pulmonary and central nervous system diseases that are in close relationship with the Motor Sciences and  the principal classes of drugs used in sports and subject to restriction of use as well as  the doping.

At the end of the course, students will be able to know the correct use of  of drugs, their therapeutic indications and routes of administration; recognize side effects of the most significant drugs used in medical practice and  the main classes of drugs used in sports and those subjected to restriction of use.
