Learning Objectives

Learning to know contemporary Italian’s structures and their uses, and some of the most up to date instructional aspects. Students are expected to know guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and its most problematics knots, especially concerning the ideas of Standard language and sociolinguistics and pragmatics competence.


Course Structure

There will be 18 lessons, for a total amount of 36 hours.

Students who will regularly attend classes will be able to sustain a test during the course and write an essay on one of course’s topics (the topic has to be chosen wich the teacher and the essay has to be given to the teacher at least 10 days before the final exam).

Students who will not attend the course will have only an oral exam, and will have to study a supplementary text, while those who will regularly attend the course won't have to study the supplementary text and can use their notes or other materials given by teacher.



Detailed Course Content

During the first part of the course we will analyze contemporary Italian’s main traits and features, referring especially to:

 

During the second part of the course we will deeply analyze CEFR’s guidelines; moreover, we will focus on the development of pragmatics competence and on how to teach it.
