Furthermore, some in-depth studies on the problems of artistic language will be conducted with the active participation of attending students.

Detailed Course Content

An informative and formative survey of the main artistic currents of the 20th century.

Impressionism will be important as a departure for new developments in the artistic language of the Avant-gardes. It will also be considered in the dialectic relationship that painting establishes with photography, which takes its own path of which a synthesis will be traced. It will then go on to the patrolling of the main currents of the twentieth century, such as Cubism, Orphism, Expressionist currents, Fauvism, Futurism, Abstraction (organic and geometric), Dadaism, Surrealism and the Informal. A general premise will be the explanation of what it is, how it forms and develops the artistic language of research or deviant. A formative principle that will be continually reflected in the examination of the various artistic currents treated. Focus will focus on the international art of the artistic avant-gardes of the 20th century with specific reference to the movements and artists who have distorted the artistic language of the period.
