DIAGNOSTICA PER IMMAGINI E RADIOTERAPIA

The course aims to provide the basic knowledge of imaging methods (Rx, US, CT, MRI, Angiography and Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and PET) and the basic notions of Radioprotection and Radiotherapy. Following the knowledge of radiographic anatomy, CT and MRI of the main body districts and especially brain, skull base and masticatory apparatus. Moreover, the formation of the intra and extraoral radiological image, the main pathologies and their representations in Rx, TC, Dentascan and RM are treated.

Introduction to Analogic and Digital Radiology, Ultrasound, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance, Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Overview of Nuclear Medicine, Radioprotection and Radiotherapy. Radiographic, CT and MRI anatomy of the main body districts and in particular of the brain, skull base and masticatory apparatus. Intra and extraoral radiological imaging. Main pathologies and radiological picture with the various imaging techniques. Alterations of tooth development. Caries. Bony cysts and tumors. Traumas of the teeth. Periodontopathies. Cone beam. Palate and salivary glands tumors . Anatomy and ATM imaging. Imaging in Implantology. Clinical cases in OPT and Dentascan.
