This subject aims to provide students with the basic knowledge to perform some of the most common routine conventional radiological examinations that may be required in a radiodiagnostic department. The proper execution of these radiological examinations requires a good understanding of the equipment, materials, procedures and protocols used to enable the radiologist to reach a proper diagnosis. In addition, basic ultrasound and ultrasound equipment will be provided as in recent years they have replaced many conventional radiology techniques, making them obsolete.
to make known the imaging diagnostic techniques and their clinical applications with particular reference to cardiovascular and mediastinic structures and the role of the TSRM in this field.
After the scheduled lessons in the module, the student should know the principles to perform correctly main chest imaging modalities.
The course contains basic knowledge of materials and methods for conducting conventional radiology examinations (abdominal X-rays, hepatic X-rays, urinary tract X-rays), and contrast agent X-rays: sialography, trans-Kehr cholangiography, defecography, cystography, etc. as well as regarding the physical principles of ultrasound and basic knowledge of ultrasound equipment.
