The course aims to provide a critical analysis of the issues related to the functioning of market economies. Particular attention will be given to the modern issues of the civil economics and the international cooperation for development.

4. The perfectly competitive market (Becchetti, Bruni and Zamagni, 2014, chapter 5, sections 1-4 and section 7).
5. The civil firms (Becchetti, Bruni and Zamagni, 2014, chapter 10, sections 1-10).
6. The economic development and the international cooperation for the development: Definitions and basic concepts (Mellano and Zupi, 2007, chapter 1).
7. Growth and economic development (Samuelson, Nordhaus and Bollino, 2014, chapter 27).
8. The policies of development (Mellano and Zupi, 2007, chapter 3).
