Learning Objectives

The course is aimed at supplying adequate knowledge and comprehension of the Regional Volcanology. Specifically, primary objectives of this course will be the following: • Knowledge of the distribution and main characters of volcanism related to different geodynamic settings; • Ability in the independent interpretation of complex natural processes such as the genesis of magmas, their evolution, dynamics of volcanic eruptions and growth of volcanic edifices; • Ability to carry out detailed field survey of volcanic areas and reconstruction of their main volcanological characteristics on the basis of observations on deposits.
