History of French Language

We will define the question of language, during the Eighteenth century.

We will then examine modern and contemporary French language peculiarities.

We will examine Eighteenth Century French, from the Encyclopédie, the Liaisons dangereuses by Laclos, the Mariage de Figaro by Beaumarchais the revolutionary theatre and Le père Duchesne by Hébert. We will then define the rhetoric of French and Francophone modern and contemporary literature.
