SOCIOLOGY OF LITERATURE

Introduction to sociological criticism as interpretation of the relationship text/context (influences of the social context on authors and works, ideological orientations involved in the text, forms of representation of the real) and as a research into the circulation of themes, genres and styles.

The course has a double articulation. The first module focuses on the study of the themes, the problems and the main works of the twentieth century sociology of literature. The second module proposes an investigation of a figure of the thematic field of nostalgia, with examples of narrative texts.
