  It provides knowledge to interpret the function of communication and on the current developments in the field of social action, social policy and public communication.
• Methods for analyzing communication 2.0
  
  knowledge and skills to manage and interpret information related to the flow of communication by the new digital media. Particular attention will be given to network analysis as an instrument for social research. It will provide both technical and theoretical information on the use of freeware software available for the analysis of relational data.

Detailed Course Content

  The course offers some perspectives of sociological analysis on the topic of communication and the relationship between action and communication in complex organizational contexts. Social policies are the ground of investigation of the functioning mechanisms of the media and the transformation of public action.

• Methods for analyzing communication 2.0
  

  The module aims to offer an overview of the regulatory, theoretical and methodological instruments nowadays available for the analysis of public communication in local governments, with specific reference to social services.
