Learning Objectives

The teaching is divided into two parts that are closely related. The general course aims to the knowledge of the peculiar characteristics of the cultural, economics, philosophical, religious and social foundations from the Edict of Tolerance (313A. D.) to the action of Martin Luther (1483-1546). The monographic course instead leads the students to the knowledge of the action and organization of the Dominican Order (founded in 1216) as example of the educational capacity exerted by the preaching and the culture of Ordo Praedicatorum on the society from the thirteenth to the sixteenth century.

Detailed Course Content
