The course aims increase knowledge of the pathophysiological mechanisms of endocrine and metabolic disorders correlated to the different stages of life and the role of diet in their prevention and treatment.
The student at the end of the course will be able to know and use the RDAs and nutrition guidelines for neonatal, infant, pregnancy and adulthood. You must also be able to formulate a food plan for the general population (childhood, gestational period and adulthood) and for for the main pathologies that can arise in childhood, during pregnancy and adulthood.
The course aims to deepen the knowledge on the pathophysiological mechanisms of the main endocrine-metabolic diseases correlated to pregnancy and in some clinical conditions of adulthood and the role of diet in their prevention and treatment.
It allows to understand which diseases may arise due to improper eating habits for the stage of life that the woman crosses and remedy or implement the right prevention.
