Obiettivi formativi

Knowledge and understanding The Roman constitutional system and its changeability during a history of thirteen centuries. The observation of technical and non-technical sources and of their often difficult tangle. Applying Knowledge and Understanding Appropriate evaluation of form and substance, of the political and juridical fields. Capacity in treating the sources. Judgement autonomy Capacity to go through the historical data and to distinguish in them politics from law. Communication skills Students will learn to show and discuss the results of the critical evaluation in a logical and appropriate language, different from their own and therefore preparatory to possible engagements in professional fields implying the use of a foreign language . Learning ability The students, among other things, will 1) reflect by modern eyes upon ancient events and systems; 2) fix the right borders between politics and law; 3) appreciate the relations between constitutional systems and legal orders and the influence of the jurists on this all.
