Prerequisiti richiesti

Acquisizione del livello C1 del Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Prima di sostenere l'esame gli studenti devono aver sostenuto e superato Lingua e Traduzione Inglese II.

Contenuti del corso

Dal punto di vista teorico gli studenti acquisiranno le basi per il discernimento e la valutazione dei vari approcci teorici dell’Inglese Settoriale; in particolare familiarizzeranno con alcune aree disciplinari specifiche (Legal English, Academic Writing e Medical English) ma soprattutto all’interno del dibattuto tema dell’immigrazione.

Dal punto di vista della traduzione gli studenti, attraverso l’uso di materiali autentici, esamineranno le problematiche salienti della traduzione giuridica e medica ai diversi livelli (discorso, sintassi, fraseologia e terminologia) e le difficoltà derivanti dalle differenze di ordine giuridico e interculturale tra i vari paesi e ordinamenti, discutendo alcune possibili soluzioni nella prospettiva della prassi professionale.

Dal punto di vista dell’acquisizione linguistica, il corso prevede il rafforzamento delle competenze linguistico-comunicative previste dal livello C1 del Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, con particolare attenzione ad alcuni ambiti specialistici.
