Course Structure

The course, trough frontal lessons, in-depth seminars and laboratory activities with active involvement of students, intends to provide the essential knowledge for the study of the central and peripheral administrative systems of the Euro-Mediterranean political area.



Detailed Course Content

At the origins of the Italian administration.

The Italian administration in the liberal age.

Constitution and administration: from fascism to the republican age.

Administrative reforms: from the second half of the twentieth century to administrative federalism



Textbook Information

G. Astuto, L'amministrazione italiana. Dal decentramento napoleonico al federalismo amministrativo, Carocci, Roma 2009.

At the student's choice, one of the following two texts:

M. Cammelli, La pubblica amministrazione, Il Mulino, Bologna 2004;

G. Melis, La Burocrazia, Il Mulino, Bologna 2015.

Attending students will be provided with in-depth materials on the course topics.

If the teaching is given in a mixed or remote mode, the necessary changes with respect to what was previously stated may be introduced, in order to respect the program envisaged and reported in the Syllabus.
