BIOETHICS

The module aims to examine in depth the main topics of bioethics on a background of philosophical reflection, allowing students to understand complex theoretical and practical frameworks created by technological development.

Lectures with analysis and discussion of some of the topics reported in the syllabus; tutorials on a selection of topics. Guest lectures by experts in the field of bioethics.

The module comprises the following topics: the definition of the epistemological statute of bioethics and on the analysis of some of the main topics, such as: the concept of person, assisted suicide and euthanasia; a reflection of bioethics as a critical conscience of technological society and as a definition of the relationship between science and human responsibility.
