Learning Objectives

Acquire a firm knowledge of the historical profile of the artistic culture in the Byzantine world from the foundation to the fall of Constantinople.

Deepen, in light of recent interpretative contributions, aspects of historical, political and territorial contexts in which artistic production attests hybridizations and exchanges of the Byzantine civilization with other cultures.
