Introduction to the concept of digital sociology, understanding of the social and technological processes of digital spaces, empirical research in digital platforms, characteristics and controversies of the digital society.
The course takes place essentially in the form of the frontal lesson structured in three different modules (general characteristics, research methods, case study analysis), with extensive use of tools for student involvement: questions for the verification of concepts, collective discussion of crucial cases, digital tools for involvement and participation.
Module A: the new research field of digital sociology, the social and technological dimensions of contemporary society.
Module B: the methodology and techniques of social research in digital platforms.
Module C: the digital media between isolation and participation, the characteristics of digital textual consumption
