Acquisition of a critical method for the prosodic metrical analysis of Latin archaic poetries and the interpretation of corruptions that occurred during the manuscript transmission with the assistance of Latin meter tools.

Lectures.

Introduction to the Latin archaic prosody and meter.

Reading of selected texts from the Latin archaic theater, examined from the prosodic, metrical, historical and paleographic perspective.
