Learning Objectives


Course Structure

The course consists of 42 hours lectures integrated with 36 hours of practical activities dedicated to achievement of abilities in the application of the acquired knowledge.

If the course will be held partially or totally online, due to the pandemic, some variations in the following list of contents could be necessary



Detailed Course Content

Topic 1: criteria and methods for reconstructing the 3D geometries of rock bodies; ability in costructing basic geological cross-sections

Topic 2: study and analysis of the sedimentary process and of the sedimentary rocks;

Topic 3: competence in interpreting the paleogeographic and paleotectonic significance of stratigraphic successions

Topic 4: competence in recognising and descibing tectonic structures; ability in constructing geological sections reproducing complex contexts.
