Learning Objectives

The course aims at providing students with the knowledge to reinforce and extend English language skills , particularly concerning the grammatical , morphological , lexical and phonological aspects of language (B1+/B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) , reading comprehension and the ability to comment on topics related to the scientific field.

Grammatical morphological, lexical and phonological aspects of English language (B1+/B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages); the most common elements of scientific lexicon; reading comprehension and the ability to comment on topics related to the scientific field and particularly the following topics:

The human body
Disability
Sport and food
Health education

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

express opinions
recognize grammatical and syntactical structures;
recount present, past and future events,
recognize and use the most common elements of scientific lexicon;
read, analize and comment on scientific texts;
sum up information found in texts;
