Course Structure

Lectures, slides, workshops, judgements' analisys, mooting.

Taking into account the situation linked to the COVID-19 emergency, the necessary changes with respect to what was previously stated may be introduced, in order to respect the program envisaged and reported in the Syllabus, with the provision of lessons to be held in mixed or remote mode

Learning assessment may also be carried out on line, should the conditions require it.

Detailed Course Content

The course will focus on the birth and the affirmation of IUS COMMUNE over the centuries XI-XVI. They will be examined its main sources, the legal concepts and the different schools of thought that accompany the creation of the IUS COMMUNE. Later we will analyze the consequent affirmation of the fundamental principles of the law, tied to the creation of new political-legal form is on the idea of sovereignty, of public power, the rule of law, the process worked out by jurists which marked the birth of a science independent legal, fruitful creative schemes, languages and figures that form the legal structure of medieval and modern.
