The student will attend Department of Orthopedics to acquire specialist skills, learning the peculiarities of the evaluation and diagnostic and therapeutic assessment on patients with musculoskeletal affections or traumas.
Attendance at departments and clinics alongside medical staff. If the teaching is given in a mixed or remote mode, the necessary changes with respect to what was previously stated may be introduced, in order to comply with the program envisaged and reported on Syllabus.
The trainee will have to acquire the following knowledge and skills:
- To carry out the medical history and physical examination of the patient with particular reference to the problems of the musculoskeletal system and traumatology
- To know the main signs and symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders, both in orthopedic and trauma patients
- To perform adequate diagnostic hypotheses
- To know the clinical-instrumental tests, performed for the evaluation of the patient with orthopedic and traumatological pathologies
- To know the main therapeutic guidelines in reference to orthopedic and trauma pathology, including the main types of immobilization, the management of minor traumas, surgical and post-surgical management of the patient.
