HISTORY OF CONTEMPORARY ART

Knowledge of methodological and critical issues linked to the study of contemporary art and its theoretical and technical elements. Knowledge of the stylistic characters and poetic reasons of contemporary artistic research in the work of the main artists and movements of the XIX and XX Century.

Frontal Teaching.

Projection of slides, audio and video materials.

This is an introductory survey course, meant to provide the students with an elementary knowledge of the main historical lines of the history of art from Neoclassicism to the avant-garde of the 60s and 70s of XX century and of the critical and methodological issues concerning the art of the time.
