GEOGRAFIA DELLA CULTURA E DELLO SVILUPPO

The course will contribute to understanding the territorial aspects of the processes of economic, political and social development of contemporary societies, considered at the different geographical scales (local, regional, national, global).

The course will take place through traditional classroom lectures, in which will be used power point prepared by the lecturer.

The concept of development in its different meanings; different approaches to development; policies and actors of development; development and sustainabilty; the main features of economic, political and social development of contemporary societies, at the different geographical scales, industrial development in Sicily.
