Teaching Staff

Learning Objectives

The course contents is addressed towards basic circuit theory, together with an overview of relevant applications in the civil engineering field . Elementary concepts used in electric plants are introduced, together with protections against electric risks for human safety. Renewable energy production and management, photovoltaic plants and zero energy buildings are also introduced

Knowledge and understanding

At the end of the course the students will be able to understand and evaluate simple problems concerning electrical applications in civil engineering

Applying knowledge and understanding

The student will be able to design simple electrical applications

Course Structure

Classroom lectures and concerning both theory and examples of applications to civil engineering problems

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.

Learning assessment may also be carried out on line, should the conditions require it.
