The aim is to provide the knowledge of the musculoskeletal diseases of orthopedic and traumatology. The course provides knowledge regarding orthopedic and traumatological diseases of childhood, adulthood and elderly. The course provides to take up the future physician regarding the diagnostic approach and the correct choice of treatment, either conservative or surgical, of congenital, pediatric and degenerative orthopaedic disorders, and regarding the management of minor and major trauma, vehicle, accidental and sportive.
Activities and diagnostic care in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the general and special functional impairments resulting from amputations, orthopedic and rheumatologic diseases, with the use of aids, orthotics, physical therapy and medications.
Knowledge of basic techniques in Plastic Surgery, treatment of the main tumors, malformation and traumatic diseases and related reconstructive procedures.
Frontal lessons. PPT files.
Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.
Learning assessment may also be carried out on line, should the conditions require it."
The course is based on the main orthopaedic and traumatologic disorders, highlighting: epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, imaging investigations, differential diagnosis, prognosis, complications, conservative and surgivcal treatment.
