The course aims to update the traditional theme of the DEA aimed at the study of popular festivals and traditions, with contemporary themes and problems of an ethical, anthropological and sociological profile.
The History of Medicine aims to provide the medical student with the contents and paths of the evolution of medical thought over time, to contribute to the acquisition of knowledge and useful references to the present, with the aim of enriching the culture of student in Medicine and to make it a useful asset for research, clinic and assistance. The knowledge of the evolution of historical-medical human thought is essential in clinical training, developing in the student the propensity to approach the patient and to clinical research (historeo, from the Greek, means to research), essential conditions for the development of the "clinical sense. "both by drawing on the example of the great medical figures, and by getting used to the clinical reasoning that is indispensable in the applications of today's" Guidelines ".
Within the integrated course of Human Sciences of the degree course in Medicine and Surgery, the teaching of Medical Bioethics is intended to modulate, regulate and optimize the relationship between medical sciences and clinical practice according to a vision that begins with the scientific data and arrivals to regulatory aspects, in the light of the code of ethics as well as forecasts of the current constitutional and legal (general and special) precepts.
Teaching methodology:
MOOC lessons, available before the start of the frontal teaching activity;
the first two lessons are dedicated to the indication of the accessibility to MOOCs, to the supply of the reference text, to the identification of a topic with personalized research, for each student, of a topic related to anthropological aspects of medicine, including holidays, habits, beliefs o local rites; the topic will be chosen with the teacher, who will be able to provide some iconographic material;
concise presentation - three to four minutes - in the classroom, by each student, of the chosen topic, with impromptu video recording;
subsequent editing of one or more videos with this material.
