Learning Objectives

Knowledge and Comprehensiveness
Students acquire basic knowledge on the most important parts of civil law and their regulation
Skill to apply Knowledge and Comprehensiveness
Students will be able to understand as the legal system works and the way to solve legal problems in theory and in practice. They will take confidence with legal terminology, with problems of statutes interpretation and they will be able to connect each part of civil law with the others.
They will be able to analyse practical cases and to discern problems that each of them pone to the judge, trying to find the proper solution in the legal system and in the basic regulation that is in their background.
Students will learn the fundamental rules on civil law that will be the basis for the further course of studies.
Judgment autonomy
Students have got critical and judgmental skills through exercises in which they analyze cases and legal questions of private law and they study the various positions of judges and scientists.
Communication skills
Students develop their communication and legal language skills through seminars dedicated to this, in which they read and then analytically expose the main logical steps of the issues studied.
Learning ability
Students acquire the good study method for the disciplines of positive law by being forced to correlate the conflict of interest analyzed by the legislator with the selection made in the rule and having received the necessary lessons on how to find the legislative rules, scientific papers and judgments.


Course Structure

Frontal lessons. Students are required to take part actively. At the end of each content of the course could be organized some exercize, like judgment's reading or case law to solve.

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.
