RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND TRANSLATION 2

Further development of the linguistic competences of the student. In particular,

1) enrichment of the student’s vocabulary, with a special attention towards the usage of expressions typical to the colloquial Russian speech and various idioms;

2) detailed study of some aspects of Russian grammar;

3) adaption of diverse strategies of literary translation with Italian as Target Language / Source Language;

4) development of the student’s abilities to communicate in Russian, reinforcing his/her ability to use the appropriate lexical units in various contexts;

5) introduction to Russian for special purposes (Business Russian, Tourism Russian).

These objectives are achieved through various activities, e.g.: reading, analysis and discussion of literary pieces in Russian, listening and analysis of videos in Russian, doing oral and written exercises with the aim of gaining grammar and writing competences in Russian, as well as the ability to build up a monologue, a dialogue or a polylogue in Russian and the ability to use lexical units adequate to the given context.

These objectives intend the development of the 4 key linguistic competences: Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading.

Elaboration of original pieces in Russian from the point of their lexical, grammar and syntactical peculiarities.
