L-ART/05 - 6 CFU - 2° Semester

Teaching Staff

SIMONA AGNESE SCATTINA
STEFANIA RIMINI

Course Structure

The course is tripartite. Module A, theoretical and institutional, proposes general questions of dramaturgy. Module B is dedicated to the theatrical writing of Lina Prosa, one of the most authentic voices on the contemporary scene. Module C is dedicated to writing by Franco Scaldati, father of research theater in the city of Palermo.

The lessons will be frontal and will make constant reference to the analysis of materials that will be previously made available to the students. There will be a couple of lecture lessons by playwrights and scholars specializing in the main topics covered. In all cases the students will be constantly asked to interact with the didactic proposals, and they will have to deepen the guidelines according to their interests and through individual study paths, agreed with the teacher.

Detailed Course Content

The teaching activity will dedicate a set of preparatory lessons to the definition and problematization of the concept of "dramaturgy", through the analysis of some of the cornerstones of classical aesthetic reflection on the diegesis-mimesis relationship (Platone and Aristotele), and the consideration of the most recent interpretative developments that have been offered.

We will focus on some crucial issues:
